1/18/2016 – Lexington, OK — A former reserve deputy with the Minco Police Dept., recently convicted of two sexual assaults against Backpage.com prostitutes, has been officially transferred to prison and received a new mugshot to start off his 2016.
Brett William Johnson, 28, was sentenced to 53.5 years in prison on Dec. 10 of last year after being found guilty of two counts of sexual battery, forcible oral sodomy, and two counts of kidnapping (link to case).
According to court records, Johnson was transferred from the Oklahoma County Jail to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections earlier this month.
Johnson, who is currently being housed at the Lexington Assessment & Reception Center in Lexington, OK posed for this snazzy new mugshots on Jan. 8. (link to DOC profile).
Readers will recall that JohnTV began reporting on Johnson back in Aug. of 2014, soon after his arrest (link).
While working nights as a security guard, at various Oklahoma City area apartment complexes, Johnson would make contact with Backpage.com prostitutes and request they come to his location. After they arrived, Johnson would take them to a secluded area and sexually assault them.
Johnson contends he is only guilty of engaging in prostitution and that he never sexually assaulted anyone.
Johnson filed his intent to appeal his conviction and prison sentence last month.
Johnson’s appeal will most likely be paid for by tax payers – as he has been previously recognized as indigent.
